An unannounced 1 Year Required inspection was conducted today, September 1, 2021, by Licensing Program Analyst Norma Lomeli. LPA met with Associate Teacher, Anatalia Mata-Alcala. LPA took census and toured the facility. This facility is located on the Janet L. Young Elementary School grounds and uses classroom #P1.

The following was observed and/or discussed:
  • This facility operates two half day program. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM and 12:15 PM to 3:15 PM.
  • Staffing and ratio is maintained at all times.
  • Licensee does not exceed the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license.
  • All children present are supervised at all times by staff, including visual supervision.
  • Classrooms / floors are clean and safe. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free.
  • Uncontaminated drinking water is available both indoors and out.
  • Bathrooms have two toilets and there are two sinks located outside the bathroom area. Toilets and sinks are safe and in good operating condition.
  • All disinfectants, cleaning solutions, toxic, poisonous items, and medications are inaccessible to children.
  • Breakfast, lunch and PM snack are provided and meals are prepared on-site or delivered by campus catering and brought over to the classroom.
  • Menus are posted at least one week in advance where an authorized representative can view them. Menus shall be dated and kept on file for 30 days, and are available for review upon request.

  • Solid waste storage vessels, including moveable bins, have tight fitting covers on, and are in good repair.
  • Playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in safe condition and free of hazards. Areas under/around high climbing equipment, swings, and slides have sufficient cushioning material to absorb falls.
  • At least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric first-aid is present when children are at the facility or at off-site activities.
  • All individuals subject to a criminal record review have a clearance or exemption and are associated to the facility. Staff records contain appropriate documentation of education credits.
  • The person who signs the child in/out uses their full legal signature and records the time of day. The child is signed in and out by the person responsible for the child. Child's admission agreement is available for review.
  • There are no o firearms, weapons, or bodies of water on the premises.
  • The licensee shall comply with the notice to remove/bar any person with specified convictions or for other reasons.
  • Two staff files and three children’s files were reviewed during today’s inspection.


In exit interview the Site Supervisor, Jeanene Ott was advised to post the Notice of Site Visit for 30 days in a viewable area by parents and retain evaluation report for 3 years for public review.

In the areas that were evaluated no deficiencies were observed at the time of the inspection.
