25 | On April 21, 2022, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) C Brannon and J Pacheco met director, Lisa Antaramian. Per fire clearance, the school age children are to use classroom #12. At this time, classrooms #10 and #11 cannot be used due to not being able to pass the fire inspection. During today's inspection, LPAs verified corrections listed on previous inspection dated 11/15/21 by LPAs Moctezuma and Her. During previous inspection on 11/15/21, approximate inside square footage measured was 403, which is adequate inside space for 11 school age children. The school age restrooms are gender specific. There are 4 sinks, 6 toilets and 2 urinals.
The following items must be completed prior to issuing a license by 5/21/22:
1) There is exposed wiring on the ceiling in classroom #12.
2) The children's bathrooms have exposed wiring on the ceilings.
3) Licensee is to anchor cubbies and all shelving units.
4) Licensee is to replace light bulb in lighting fixture.
5) Licensee is to submit their plans of updating the children's bathroom to meet ADA standards and when this will be completed. This can delay licensure of the school age program.
6) Get age appropriate sticker for outside play structure.
7) Replace the window screens in classroom #12.
8) Get amended fire clearance and complete updated application for child care center with the new capacity for preschool and school age children. Licensee is to include the infant capacity on the updated application.
Pending a final file review and completion of above items, a recommendation will be made to license the above facility for a capacity 11 school age children.
