25 | On 1/30/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joseph Pacheco conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection and met with Sanger Unified School District Coordinator of Early Education (Coordinator), Sandra Olivo. LPA reviewed the reason of the inspection, and a tour of the center was conducted both inside and outside. LPA observed children in care during today’s inspection. Per Coordinator facility is currently operating a California State Preschool Funded Program that is exempt from licensure.
During today's inspection, LPA verified the following items have been corrected:
Inside Daycare:
1) Anchor the play refrigerator to prevent from tipping over.
2) Obtain sleeping a cot/mat, couch or bed for ill children who are isolating.
3) Obtain a cup dispenser.
Outside Daycare:
1) Install a spring action gate with a locking mechanism for the gate along the southern fence.
2) Install a spring action gate on the gate that leads from the outdoor play area to the rest of the elementary school campus.
A waiver for the preschool outdoor activity area to be shared by transitional kindergarten and kindergarten children at separate times has been approved by the Fresno Regional Office. Pending a final file review, a recommendation will be made to license the above facility for the requested capacity of 24 preschool children.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Coordinator, Sandra Olivo. A copy of this report is to remain in the facility for public review. This report shall be made available to the public upon request.
