25 | On 10/03/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Suzette Jackson. Also present was licensee’s assistant. There were no children present during the inspection. Days and hours of operation are Monday – Sunday for 23.5 hours.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs. LPA toured the home inside and outside. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the daycare room and bathroom are used for providing care and are accessible to children. The family room is accessible to children and used for overnight care. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of locked doors. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. LPA observed a mounted television, art station, child-sized table, chairs, dollhouses, age-appropriate games, puzzles, books and learning materials. There are no fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Licensee reported that there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
Licensee provides transportation to nearby schools and ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. LPA observed scooters, bicycles, riding toys, tether balls, climbing mound, plenty of age-appropriate toys, table and chairs. There is a built-in swimming pool in the backyard which is fenced and made inaccessible. The pool gate is self-latching, self-closing and opens away from the swimming pool. No windows or doors have direct access to the pool area. There's a hot tub that is inaccessible to children by a weight bearing locked cover that only licensee has access to.
