25 | On 07/22/2022 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Stephanie Vega-Gonzalez and Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) Stephanie Navarro conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Rosalva Fernandez. Also present was Staff #1 (S1). Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:30am to 5:30pm.
LPA and AGPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken of 9. Current facility sketch reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, 2nd room, playroom, living room, 3rd bedroom, 5th bedroom, Master bedroom, Master bedroom bathroom, and hallway bathroom, and backyard are accessible to children. Licensee advised during inspection that backyard storage next to gated pool's water pumps, will be replaced this weekend with a brand new locked storage unit. Facility sketch was amended during today’s visit, and LPA obtained a copy. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of door spinners. Swimming pool is fenced per regulation. The pool gate is self-latching, self-closing and opens away from the swimming pool. No windows or doors have direct access to the pool area. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
The fireplace is located in the living room and is accessible and will not be in use during daycare hours. Licensee is advised that the fireplace is to be screened when in use to prevent access by children. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in this home.
