25 | On 05/29/2025 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Yesenia Fierro and Erica Pacheco conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Assistant, Juanita Garibay. LPAs explained the reason for the visit. Also present was Staff #3 (S3). LPA Fierro confirmed the home has a working telephone service. All adults who reside or work in the home have a criminal record clearance or exemption. There are no excluded individuals present at this home. Licensee stated days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Licensee stated there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. There are pets in the home. There were 3 smalls dogs in the in facility, but were in one of the inaccessible bedrooms. Licensee understands the liability of pets around day care children and accepts responsibilities of any action taken by pets.
LPAs conducted a census, during today’s inspection there were 11 children present in the home, capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. A current facility sketch was reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, bathroom and living room and of the bedrooms are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of door spinners.
During today’s inspection LPAs toured the home inside and outside. This is a single story home. LPAs did not observe any fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. LPAs observed licensee test the smoke detector and carbon monoxide. Licensee understands to test both smoke detector and carbon monoxide periodically for functionality.
During today’s inspection LPAs observed areas, surfaces, carpets, and floors accessible to the children are in operable and sanitary condition. LPAs observed the home to have age-appropriate toys, dramatic play equipment, and learning materials. LPAs did not observe any poisons during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
