25 | On 03/06/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), conducted an unannounced annual required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Stella Tamez. LPA explained the reason for the visit, also present was staff #1 (S1). Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00AM-4:30PM. Licensee stated, and LPA observed one (1) large dog and one (1) small dog. Pets are not accessible to the children; licensee understands the liability of pets around day care children and accepts responsibilities of any action taken by pets. Licensee confirmed there are not firearms or ammunition in the home.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. During today’s inspection there were 10 children present, children were free playing upon LPA arrival. Licensee confirmed that the bedroom 1, bedroom 2, bathroom and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of door spinners and safety latches.
This is a single-story home, LPA observed an electric fireplace in the living room, fireplace is made in accessible by a glass door. Licensee stated that fireplace will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. LPA observed licensee test the smoke detector and carbon monoxide. Licensee understands to test both smoke detector and carbon monoxide periodically for functionality.
During today’s inspection Licensee advised LPA there are no firearms or ammunition in the home. LPA observed the home to be clean and orderly, areas and surfaces accessible to children are clean and sanitary. LPA observed age-appropriate dramatic play equipment, toys, and materials. Licensee stated that all poisons are kept in the laundry room. LPA did not observe any poisons during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. LPA observed the outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. LPA observed a hot tube to the left of the back yard. Hot tub is locked and inaccessible to LPA observed age-appropriate toys and dramatic play equipment. CON'T 809-C
