25 | On 5/25/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Priscilla Zamudio arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Leticia Hernandez. LPA toured the facility and a census was taken of 8 children. The purpose of today's inspection was regarding an unusual incident that was reported to the Fresno Childcare Regional Office on 3/13/23 and a police report dated 3/3/23. On 3/2/23, Child #1 bit Child #2 on the cheek. There was no mark or open skin. Licensee notified the parents and requested to have Child #1 picked up. Licensee later informed the parent of Child #1 they could not return due to behavioral concerns. On 3/3/23, law enforcement contacted licensee to investigate allegations made by Child#1 and no further action was taken.
During today’s inspection, LPA interviewed licensee and her assistant to discuss the Kerman Police Department report. Based on information gathered and observations made by LPA, there were no obvious concerns or hazards found. Licensee and assistant are implementing adequate care and supervision at the facility.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee Leticia Hernandez.
