25 | On 09/25/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Lorena Magana. Also present was licensee’s assistant. Licensee is English and Spanish Speaking. Days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 6:00AM-5:30PM.
This is a two-story home and stairs are gated when children under age 5 years old are present. LPA toured the home inside, outside and a census was taken. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the kid’s room, hallway bathroom, and front yard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. The living room and kitchen are accessible to the children but are used primarily for infants napping in play yards, as an isolation area for sick children, or parent pick-up during naptime. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of child-safety gates and doorknob spinners. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. LPA observed wall art, a mounted television, child-sized table, chairs; age-appropriate books, games and toys. There is one fireplace in the home located in the living room and is made inaccessible by a glass door and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Licensee reported that there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
The outdoor play area in the front yard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. LPA observed various age-appropriate toys, play structures, child-sized table, chairs, cubbies, play houses and learning materials in the front yard that is shaded by cloth tarps. Continued to LIC809-C.
