| Also, LPA observed in accessible backyard located in the far northwest corner behind a playhouse, 30 12x12 cement slabs and an 8x16 inch cinder block. LPA addressed observation and concern with licensee. Licensee acknowledged concerns and stated she has someone scheduled to come by later that afternoon to pick them up.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There is one fireplace in the home located in the off-limits living room and is made inaccessible by a screen and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files were complete with emergency information as required. However, based on LPA records review and licensee interview, C3 and C4's LIC282's; C1, C2, C3, C4, and C5's LIC9150's, and C1 and C2's LIC627 are not filled out to its entirety. There are sections of each LIC forms missing pertinent information. LPA addressed observations and concerns with licensee. Licensee stated she understood and will have parents/authorized representatives complete the missing portions.
Furthermore, based on LPA records review and licensee interview, C1's last 15-minute sleep log was documented for 05/06/2026 and C2 who has been enrolled since 05/26/2026 does not have 15-minute sleep logs. LPA discussed with licensee safe sleep and that sleep logs are to be documented for infants 0-24 months. Licensee stated she understood and will ensure compliance moving forward.
Licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 04/21/2027. Licensee’s pediatric CPR/First Aid certification expires on 12/2026. A review of records indicates that all employees and/or volunteers have immunization records on file for influenza, pertussis and measles.
LPA discussed the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to resources such as forms, regulations Provider Information Notices (PINs), and Quarterly Updates. LPA discussed Reporting Requirements as outlined in the regulations (Section 102416.2).
