A tour of the facility was given, and a census was taken. This visit was initiated by licensee to inspect the backyard that was previously off limits and now the licensee wants it to be accessible to provide care for the children.
Current facility sketch was reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, dining room, front living room, bathroom and side yard are used for providing care and are accessible to children all other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of child safety gate and/or key lock.
The purpose of today’s visit is to clear the use of the partial backyard area to provide care. LPA observed the partial backyard. The outdoor play area in backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. The partial backyard has a Little Tikes bicycles, a small basketball stand, and a mature tree for shade, a fence surrounding it, and a lock on the gate. LPAs also observed the floor of the partial backyard has artificial turf and is secured and not loose.
LPA obtained a new facility sketch and confirmed with the Licensee that areas accessible to the children will now the kitchen, dining room, front living room, bathroom, side yard, and partial backyard. LPA approves the use of the partial backyard.
