25 | On 6/26/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Diane Lomeli for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant and one minor child reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- This is a single story, two bedrooms and one bathroom home and children will have access to the living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom #1 (day care room), and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by use of plastic door knob covers and child proof safety gates.
- There is heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort. There is a double sided wall heater that is made inaccessible to the day care children by the use of a child proof safety gate. There is a window air conditioner unit in the living room.
- LPA observed in the day care room; children size furniture, safe toys, and books for the children. There is a Little Tikes picnic table and a flat screen television mounted onto the living room wall. There are two high chairs in the kitchen. Children will nap in the living room and bedroom #1 on cots. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has a 3A40BC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
- Applicant’s Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification was completed through American Heart Association and expires on 2/11/25.
