25 | On 6/14/22 at 10:15am, an annual required inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Emilia Grisak. At 10:30am the home was toured inside and outside. The licensees were supervising five children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 7:30am to 5:15pm, Monday–Friday. Children have access to the entire home except for the master bathroom which has been made inaccessible by door knob covers. The children use the front and back yard and patio area as the outdoor play area and it is not fully fenced and licensee understands that constant visual supervision must be provided while children are outside There were no pools or other bodies of water observed in the yard.
Five children's records were reviewed at 10:46am. Two staff records were reviewed at 11:00am.
There are currently two adults living in the home. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. Licensee does not currently have infants enrolled but LPA provided safe sleep information and advised licensee to check United States Consumer |
