A pre-licensing inspection was conducted today at 2:05pm by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Emilia Grisak. LPA met with applicant Anna Oropeza. The applicant is requesting a license for a capacity of 8. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 5:30am to 5:30pm. The residence is a three bedroom four bath single story home. There are four adults and no minors currently living in the home.
The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: kitchen, laundry room, garage, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, three closets and the backyard. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of door knob covers and baby gates. Poisons were locked in the garage. There were working smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector present and a fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The fireplace does not have a screen and applicant advised that it is not used. Applicant was advised that if fireplace will be used a screen will need to installed. The children will use the front yard as the outdoor play area. The front yard is not completely fenced and the applicant understands that constant supervision must be provided while children are outside. There is a pool in the backyard and applicant will submit a plan to CCL regarding how it will be fenced before being licensed.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Home, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted.
