On 05/15/2023, at 3:00 PM, a closing complaint investigation visit was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Wheeler and LPA Lynch. It has been alleged the facility staff handle day care children in a rough manner and staff speak inappropriately to the day care children. Site supervisor and all staff interviewed denied the allegations and stated they never handle children roughly or speak inappropriately to children, and stated they think the allegations were retaliatory. Three staff (S1-S3) were interviewed on 02/24/2023, and there were no disclosures. Three children (C1-C3) were interviewed on 05/04/23, and there were no disclosures. Five parents (P1-P3) were interviewed on 05/12/2023, and there were no disclosures. During the complaint inspection visits, LPAs also observed the facility was providing adequate care and supervision to children and did not observe any inappropriate speech or rough physical handling of children by staff. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, appeal rights provided, and notice of site visit posted.
