13 | On 03/12/25 at 1:30 p.m., Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Kiriko Lynch and Noah Wheeler visited the center for the purpose of a complaint investigation visit. It was alleged facility is operating out of ratio. Upon arrival to the facility, LPAs observed one teacher alone with 17 children in the classroom. When asked, teacher stated that two additional teachers were on site, and one had been assisting in the classroom but was currently assisting the other teacher due to a child suddenly falling ill and needed to be picked up by parents/guardians. LPAs observed two additional staff in the other classroom with 11 children, and both staff corroborated the initial teacher’s disclosure. Based on the evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, Title 22 is cited on the attached LIC 9099-D. Exit interview was conducted with acting director, notice of site visit posted, and appeal rights were provided. |
