13 | On 07/26/24 at 2:15 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Kiriko Lynch and Noah Wheeler conducted an unannounced complaint inspection, and met with Licensee Michelle Lockett. It was alleged that the home is not clean and orderly, specifically that there is a strong odor in the home, and also dog feces in areas accessible to children in care. The Licensee was interviewed on 06/18/24 during the opening complaint inspection visit, and denied the allegation and stated children do not have access to areas where the dog is kept. LPAs observed on several inspection visits that the backyard children’s play area had multiple piles of dog feces, old and new, and when Licensee was interviewed, she stated she does not currently allow children in the backyard due to the dog feces and holes dug by the dog. During today’s inspection, the facility was toured. LPAs observed dog feces in the backyard play area and children were not allowed outside by Licensee during inspection visits on 06/05/24, 06/18/24, 07/17/24, and 07/26/24. LPAs also noted a strong odor in the home which smelled of mold during inspection visits, an also observed dirty dishes,
rotting food in the sink and on the countertop, and moldy sensory play materials in closed plastic containers |
