25 | On 12/16/2024 at 10:30 AM, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Kiriko Lynch and Noah Wheeler. At 10:30 AM the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee and two assistant were supervising nine children and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 8:30 AM-4 PM, Monday–Thursday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are two detached bedrooms, laundry room, fenced off back property area, and were made inaccessible by child safety knobs, gates, locks etc. There is a wood stove that is barricaded with a gate, and the home uses ductless HVAC. The children use the front yard as the outdoor play area, and it is fenced completely. There is a hot tub covered and locked per regulations and is located in an area inaccessible to children in care. Five children's records were reviewed at 11:15 AM. Two staff records were also reviewed at 11:15 AM. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
