25 | On 12/13/2024 at 10:30 AM, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kiriko Lynch. At 10:30 AM the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee was supervising eight children and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 7:30 AM-5:30 PM, Monday–Friday, and by appointment. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are the entire upstairs, garage, and made inaccessible by baby gate, lock, etc. Home utilizes HVAC for heating/cooling. There is a wood stove but it is not used and is fully enclosed with a gate/fencing. The children use the backyard as the outdoor play area, and Licensee understands complete visual supervision is necessary in unfenced exterior areas. There were no pools or other bodies of water observed in the yard. Five children's records were reviewed at 11 AM. One staff record was also reviewed at 11 AM. The licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
