25 | On 07/28/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brittany Newton conducted an unannounced visit for the purpose of a required annual visit. LPA was met by lead teacher Kyrah Davidson (acting director while Fillipo, Director, is out) and administration coordinator Irene Russo. Present for the inspection was 3 toddlers. LPA toured the facility with the acting director.
There are no bodies of water on site. There are no firearms on site. LPA observed cleaning supplies inaccessible to children. Inspection of classroom revealed safe structures with ample age appropriate toys. The bathroom area for children has soap, paper towels, and working toilets. Outside play area was found free of hazards and an area with shade was observed. Facility fills up children's water bottles and has water available on site.
Staff on site have current CPR and first aid, expiring 03/2023. LPA reviewed the sign in sheet which had accurate signatures for children in care. Children were supervised while being sleep upon LPA's arrival.
LPA reviewed staff and children's files which were complete. LPA reminds facility to ensure they have immunization records for children in care.
LPA spoke with facility about the guardian database for background clearance checks and transfers. LPA provided facility with information for accessing guardian and signing up.
Facility is reminded that ALL assistants, volunteers, frequent visitors, or adults that are 18 years of age or older must be fingerprint cleared and associated to this facility prior to being in the presence of children in care or an immediate civil penalty will be assessed from $100 to $3000 per person, per incident.
No deficiencies cited at this visit. Exit interview conducted, appeal rights provided, and a copy of this report was left with the facility.
A notice of site visit was given and licensee was reminded that it must remain posted for 30 days. |
