| The licensees also stated that diapers are changed every hour and as needed.
It was also alleged that Licensees’ did not ensure a daycare child was fed while in care. The licensees and staff denied the allegation. Based on interviews, the licensees stated that all children in care are fed regularly. The licensees and staff stated that daycare children receive breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks between meals.
It was also alleged that Licensees’ interfered with the daycare children’s sleep while in care. The Licensees and staff denied the allegation. According to the licensees, children nap after lunch from approximately 12:50 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The licensees and staff stated that children are not forced to sleep if they are not tired. Instead, those children are informed that it is quiet time to allow others to rest.
It was further alleged that the facility was operating over capacity. The licensees and staff denied this allegation. The licensees stated that there is sufficient staff to supervise the children and that the number of children in care does not exceed the facility’s licensed capacity at any given time.
Based on interviews and a review of relevant documents revealed no disclosures or supporting evidence to corroborate the allegations, and statements provided were conflicting. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the complaint is determined to be UNSUBSTANTIATED.
No deficiencies cited. A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was given to Licensees Rosemary and Diane Aguilar and must remain posted for 30 days. An exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with both Licensees Rosemary and Diane Aguilar.
