25 | On September 27, 2024 at 3:20 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced, Licensee initiated, case management inspection to add newly constructed ADU on the side of the home, and met with Licensee, Guadalupe VIzcarra Meza. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry by the Licensee. The Licensee and no daycare children were present at the facility during this inspection.
On 9/18/24, the Licensee submitted documentation requesting to add a newly constructed ADU on the side of the home for daycare use. The ADU includes and Licensee will be using these areas for daycare use: living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. Off limit area is the laundry room and is made inaccessible by a door knob cover. The department received a granted fire clearance on 9/24/24. Licensee accompanied LPA to inspect the entire ADU and it is safe to use for daycare children. LPA did not see any hazardous items and is safe for daycare children to use.
On 9/23/24 Licensee advised the department that her facility will be closed due to construction being done in her home due to a water main break. Licensee states she notified parents regarding the closure. Licensee states she will notify the department once the construction is completed.
A copy of the report and appeal rights (LIC 9058) and notice of site visit (LIC9213) was provided to Licensee and must remain posted for 30 days and advised must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. LPA interpreted and explained the inspection report to licensee in Spanish, licensee stated she understood.
