25 | On February 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Required 3-year and Increase Capacity Inspection and met with Licensee, Veronica Rodriguez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. No daycare children and no staff members were present in the facility during this inspection. This facility is a two story, 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The following areas used for child care are: Entire downstairs: Living room, dining room #1, dining room #2, kitchen, TV room (the storage room used for changing diapers), downstairs bedroom, 2 downstairs bathrooms, and backyard. Off Limit Areas include the second floor, garage, and front yard. Off-limit areas are inaccessible to children through safety gates, and doorknob covers. Hours of operation are: Monday-Sunday from 6:00 am-10:00 pm.
Licensee submitted an increase capacity application on 1/22/24. The department received a granted fire clearance on 2/15/24.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were made inaccessible to children during the inspection. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities at time of inspection. The upstairs is not used and is gated off at the bottom of the stairway and the Licensee understands the gate must be in place when children under five years are present during day care hours. No bodies of water observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances. |
