25 | On July 9, 2024, at 1:15 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of a capacity increase and met with the Licensee, Ana Gamez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. A granted fire clearance for 14 children was received on 6/21/24. Six (6) daycare children and one (1) staff was present in the facility during this inspection. Licensee and assistant meet immunizations requirements. The applicant provided proof of control of property for review by the Department. This one story, four bedroom, 2 bath home was toured and inspected. The hours of operation are Monday through Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Applicant will use the following areas for child care: living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom #1 (hallway), and backyard. Off limits areas include: all bedrooms #1, #2, #3, #4, bathroom #2, laundry room, backyard shed, and garage. All made inaccessible to day care children through the use of door locks and doorknob covers.
All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available.The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. LPA did not observe any bodies of water a the time of this inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 5/2025. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 6/10/24. 5 of 6 children’s records were reviewed and contain immunization documentation and Notification of Parent’s Rights form. |
