25 | On 8/13/2021 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brannon, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection for the preschool license. LPA met with Director, Monica Gutierrez, and two board members, #1 and #2. LPA toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed during the inspection.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. During the inspection, LPA opened the cabinet drawers and doors. LPA observed items that can harm a preschool child. Staff immediately removed the items and placed them in another area that is inaccessible to children. During inspection, LPA observed the changing table pad covered in a sheet. LPA informed staff that the sheet negates the requirement in sanitizing the changing pad before and after each use. LPA did not observe any children being changed by staff during today’s inspection. LPA observed that in some children’s restroom stalls, the toilet floor screws did not have a cap covering them. LPA observed that licensee is utilizing rubber tires in the bike path to ensure children are not running into each other and to establish a pathway for the tricycles. LPA informed director that the tires are to be cleaned out to ensure there are no spiders or debris in the tires.
