On 11/06/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Denisia Jimenez arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPA met with Director, Ashley Herrera. LPA toured the classrooms, and a census was taken. The purpose of today's inspection was regarding an unusual incident that was reported to the Fresno Childcare Regional Office on 10/17/24. On 10/17/24 Parent #1 informed the Director that parent #1 had seen Teacher #1 via camera inappropriately re-direct a child who was running around the classroom. Director stated that Teacher #1 was spoken to and spoke with the parents. Teacher #1 stated they used their arms and knee lightly to lift the child up but did not use excessive force. Teacher #1 also stated the reason they used their knee is to support their back as they are lifting the child. Teacher #1 immediately stopped using their knee and asks for assistance from another staff moving forward. Teacher #1 also spoke with the parents and apologized. LPA and Director discussed facility policies and procedures.
This appears to be an isolated incident and staff took appropriate measures to address the staff, following appropriate policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.

Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Ashely Herrera. Appeal rights were provided.
