25 | Licensing Program Manager (LPM I) and LPA Denisia Jimenez met with Director (Licensee Representative) Laurie Curbow for the purpose of an office informal conference to discuss the following substantiated complaints involving personal rights citation and incidents involving care and supervision citations that were issued. More specifically, the following citations were discussed at today's meeting:
CCR 101223(a)(2):The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights:
(2) To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs.
CCR 101229(a)(1): Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision: The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs.(1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time.
LPM Herring also discussed working with children that exhibit difficult and challenging behaviors, accessing community supports to assist children and families in provide additional aids and supports to staff and children and communication best practices in an early education setting to support children. LPM Herring has offered to provide an on-site meet and greet with facility staff in an effort to work collectively and in collaboration to enhance supports that may be available to support the continued efforts of Garden Pathways. |
