13 | LPA Jimenez arrived at the facility, conducted an unannounced inspection to deliver the investigation finding regarding the allegation that staff handled a child in a rough manner. LPA met with Regional Director Amy Miller, Director Hanan Abou Harb, and a census was taken. The investigation included interviews with the reporting party, regional manager, director, assistant director, staff, children, and parents, along with observations, review of relevant information received, and a review of facility records.
Child #1 stated that Staff #1 bent their finger while assisting with cleanup of game pieces. Child #2 present during the activity reported that they collected some of the pieces and then proceeded inside the classroom while child #1 remained outside with Staff #1. Child #2 stated they did not witness any physical contact or concerning behavior during the time they were present. Staff interviewed reported observing Staff #1 assisting with gathering game pieces; however, none observed rough handling or conduct consistent with the allegation.
