25 | On September 12, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paul Garcia, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection for the preschool license. LPA met with Director, Rosalva Banuelos, and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Days and hours of operation are Days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
Assembly Bill 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018 requires all Child Care Centers (CCCs) that are located in buildings constructed before January 1, 2010 to test their drinking water for lead contamination by January 1, 2023 and every 5 years thereafter. This facility has provided evidence of completed water testing for samples collected on December 8, 2023. Based on records reviewed from the California Water Board Data Management System, and self-reported information from the facility, the water fountain located in Classroom #3, outlet E, had a result of 7.4 ppb. Since then, the facility has completely removed this outlet. Site Director, Banuelos indicated that all drinking water is obtained from a water purification system that is available in each classroom which LPA observed today. According to Director, Banuelos, the facility has been using the above-mentioned systems for drinking water when the COVID-19 pandemic began, in roughly March of 2020.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed during the inspection.
Furniture and equipment are in good serviceable condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe serviceable condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. All kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and show no signs of rodents/vermin. All food
