25 | An unannounced case management visit conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gloria Reyes. LPA met with Site Supervisor, Raquel Hernandez. LPA on tour of the facility inside and outside. The purpose of today's visit is to conduct a 90 Day follow-up on initial change of ownership visit conducted on 09/12/2022. This facility operates year-round, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:45 PM and 12:30 PM to 5:45 PM. Children enter through the reception area where staff conduct temperature checks, then children are escorted to their classroom. A Waiver has been approved to share the use of the outside playground area with the preschool children. Waiver is on file. Furniture, equipment and materials are sufficient, age appropriate, in good repair and toxic free. The playground equipment and outdoor activity space is maintained and in good condition, free of hazards with adequate grassy area. Children's toilets and hand washing facilities are sanitary and in good operating condition. Rooms and floors are safe and clean. Food preparation area is clean and free of rodent and other vermin. Facility provides breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack during the summer months and afternoon snack only during the traditional school year. Storage containers for solid waste are in good repair with tight-fitting covers. The facility is providing bottled water and staff will fill the children’s individual water bottles to be used both inside and outside. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiency was cited during today's visit.
An exit interview conducted with Site Supervisor, Raquel Hernandez and a copy of this report was provided and discussed. A Notice of Site was posted on parent's board and must remain posted for 30 day. |
