25 | On 2/18/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was Licensee, Tanisha Yates Thompson, Licensee’s Assistant, Tiffany Smith and four day care children. Licensee, her husband, her adult son, her two adult daughters and three minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 2/8/2027. Licensee’s Assistant, Tiffany Smith completed the training through EMS Safety and expires on 10/11/2025. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 1/23/2025.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 1/31/2025. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the right wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two high chairs, and two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher that is kept on the kitchen counter. The kitchen is an area inaccessible to the day care children. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
