25 | On 07/06/22 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Gloria Reyes and Ruby Ocegueda conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Leticia Mariscal. Present today, were her children and no day-care children were present. In addition to today’s annual inspection, LPAs provided technical assistance to licensee since she had been on inactive status since 2018 and has not had children enrolled. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or other hours as arranged.
LPAs toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. Current facility sketch reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, bathroom and living room and day-care room are used for providing care and are accessible to children. During the inactive status, Licensee enclosed the previously inspected enclosed screened patio area. Licensee added stucco, electrical lighting, heating ventilation, AC for comfort, and no permits were required per Licensee. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of plastic door knob safety covers. Licensee emptied her inflatable pool during visit and LPAs observed that the pool was emptied. LPAs reviewed regulations to Bodies of Water. Firearms and ammunition are stored and locked separately. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There are no fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in this home. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (661) 927-8368.
LPAs discussed Safe Sleep Regulations with licensee. (see next page)
