25 | On 07/16/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Denisia Jimenez conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee, Glorious Neal. Also present was the licensee’s husband, and licensee’s adult daughter who is not fingerprint cleared. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Sunday 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the dining area, living room, and bathroom are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by using closed doors.
There is a built-in swimming pool in the backyard which has a mesh fence and is made inaccessible. The mesh fence is loose on the right side of the pool. According to the licensee, older children tend to hang on the mesh, which has caused it to become loose. The pool gate is self-latching, self-closing and opens away from the swimming pool. No windows or doors have direct access to the pool area. A daily inspection log was not available for review. Furthermore, the swimming pool is not equipped with a safety pool cover that complies with ASTM International Standard F1346-23, nor is there a pool alarm installed that meets ASTM International Standard F2208, Additionally, the required safety equipment, including a life ring and a rescue pole with a body hook, was not observed. The swimming pool does not meet the safety requirements set forth under Assembly Bill (AB) 2866.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There is one fireplace in the home located in the living room and is made inaccessible by a TV stand and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
