25 | On August 15, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her two minor children and five day care children. Licensee, her husband and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on June 19, 2023. Licensee’s Assistant will be her Husband, Christopher Green, who completed the training through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on March 8, 2024. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. LPA observed two adults fingerprints in process but licensee confirmed they do not live in the home. Fire clearance was granted on August 3, 2022.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on August 10, 2022. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s dining room (day care room) on the left hand side wall.
- During today’s inspection; licensee informed LPA that she would like to make bedroom #1, bedroom #2 and the backyard accessible to the day care children. LPA inspected the bedrooms and ensure both meet Title 22 Regulations. LPA witnessed licensee update her facility sketch by circling both rooms, indicating that they are now accessible. LPA also inspected the backyard and observed a trampoline with a netted enclosure that licensee states she will keep locked during day care hours.
