25 | On August 4, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her husband, her mother in law, her two minor children and four day care children that were napping on mats in the living room. Licensee, her husband, her mother in law, and two minor children reside in the home. LPA verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus and expires on July 20, 2024. Licensee’s Assistant, Teresa Acevedo completed the training through American Heart Association and expires on May 20, 204. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on July 21, 2022.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on July 21, 2022. Fire pull alarm is located in the dining room on the left hand side wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children in the den (day care room). There is a crib, a play yard and a diaper changing table in bedroom #1 (infant room). LPA also observed a parent’s board that is located outside on the right hand side of the home’s door way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
