| On 03/21/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Christopher Burnias and David Rocha conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Mayra Ruiz Reyes. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
LPA toured the home inside and a census was taken. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that bedroom 1, bedroom 2, kitchen, dining room, living room and restroom are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of a baby gates, and door locks.
LPA observed a fish tank in Room 2 with a tight fitting lid. Licensee understands that fish tanks are considered bodies of water and that children must be supervised when around the fish tank. There is no swimming pool on the premises.
All firearms and ammunition are stored and locked separately. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There are no fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (661) 569-8523.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. The outdoor play area in the backyard is currently off limits and Licensee understands that the Department must inspect and approve use of the outdoor area prior to children having access. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
