25 | On 8/2/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, Licensee’s Assistant, Blanca Orduno and six day care children. Licensee is the only person who resides in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 12/4/23. Licensee’s assistant completed the training through HIS-EMS Safety and expires on 11/25/24. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 7/19/23.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 7/24/23. Fire pull alarm is located on the left hand side wall in the day care room.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed one high chair, an infant swing, a diaper changing table and a play yard. There is a parent’s board that is located on the hallway wall.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition. Poisons are kept key locked.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
