25 | Prior to today's inspection, LPA telephoned call applicant and conducted the COVID-19 Emergency Response Tele-Inspection Screening Process. On October 13, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Dora Rivera for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband, and four minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance (or exemption).
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- This is a single story, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a Mother in Law Suite and with a bathroom and children will only have access to the Mother in Law Suite (day-care room), and the bathroom. The room has been converted from an area of the garage. There room has central air and heating for ventilation. There is a separate entrance on the left side run of the home for the parents and day care children. Applicant has a building permit from the City of McFarland Building Department. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by use of plastic door knob covers.
- There no fireplace in the home.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys, and books for the children. Children will nap in the day care room on mats. There is a parents board on the outside of the day care room entrance. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
