25 | Prior to today's inspection, LPA telephoned call applicant and conducted the COVID-19 Emergency Response Tele-Inspection Screening Process. On August 3, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Spanish-speaking Applicant, Esmeralda Anaya Vargas for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband, her adult daughter, her adult son, her daughter in law and two minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on May 19, 2022.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on May 20, 2022. Fire pull alarm is located in the downstairs side wall.
- This is a two story, five bedrooms and three bathrooms home and upstairs area will be off-limits to the day-care children. There is a gate at the bottom of the stairs making upstairs area inaccessible. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs that will be inaccessible to the day care children. Care and supervision will be provided in living room, dining room, kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Off-limits room are made inaccessible by plastic door knob covers.
- LPA observed children size furniture, children cubbies, safe toys, books and arts and crafts supplies for the children. There is a diaper changing table and parents board. Children will nap on mats. Infants will nap in a crib or a play yard. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
