25 | On 5/22/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and seven day care children who were napping. Licensee and her adult sister reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through EMS Safety with (EMSA) and expires on 3/2/26. Licensee’s Assistant, Josue Pagan has not completed the training. Applicant understands that her assistant cannot be left alone to provide care and supervision to the day care children. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 5/6/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 5/6/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s hallway wall.
- LPA observed in the living room (day-care room); children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed one high chair, a diaper changing table and a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. There is a parent’s board that is located on the wall adjacent from the day cares' entrance.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition. Poisons are stored in the garage inside a locked, black storage tub.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
