| On 10/03/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nancy Her and conducted an announced prelicensing inspection and met with Director Paulina Ortiz. LPA explained the reason of the inspection and a tour of the center was conducted both inside and outside.
On 09/08/2023, the following was requested to be corrected before licensure:
· Updates to application paperwork
· Shelving units will need to be anchored
· Outdoor playground need to be cleaned/free of spiderwebs
· Holes in the outdoor play area around fence need to be filled
· The teeter totter and merry-go-round need to be anchored
· Climbing structures will need age-appropriate labels and repainted
· The slide on the climbing structure has cracks that will need to be fixed.
· Outdoor signage will need facility numbers
During today's inspection, LPA observed that the shelving units were anchored, the playground area was cleaned, holes were filled. The teeter totter and merry-go-round were removed. All climbing structures were repainted and has age-appropriate labels. The slide was removed, and a wall was installed where the slide entrance use to be. All outdoor signage has facility numbers.
Application paperwork is still missing. Once complete, a recommendation will be made to license the above facility for the requested capacity of 47 preschool children ages 2-6.
