25 | On 4/25/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her Assistant, Magdalena Ontiveros Rivera and six day care children. Licensee, her husband and one minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee's CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 7/25/24. Licensee’s Assistant, Magdalena Ontiveros Rivera completed the training through American Red Cross and expires on 3/8/26. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 4/1/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 4/22/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the left hand side wall.
- LPA observed child size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two play yards, a diaper changing table and a flat screen television mounted on to the living room wall. There is a parent’s board that is located on the wall before you enter the bedroom #3 (day care room).
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition in the home. Poisons are kept locked inside a Tuff Shed that is located in the backyard.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
