25 | On 1/6/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her minor daughter and four day care children who were napping in the living room. Licensee, her husband and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Heart Association with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 6/26/2026. Licensee’s Assistant, Luis Franco completed the training through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 6/19/2026. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 12/13/2024.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 12/17/2024. Fire pull alarm is located on the hallway wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two cribs and infant swing in the day care room. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right side of the home’s entry way.
- Firearms and ammunition are stored incompliance with Title 22 Regulations. Poisons are stored under key lock.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher that is mounted onto the pantry wall. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
