25 | On 5/22/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her adult son and four day-care children who were getting ready to nap. Licensee, her adult son and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through EMS Safety and expires on 1/24/26. Licensee’s Assistant, Lourdes Perez de Herrera completed the training through EMS Safety and expires on 3/4/26. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 5/2/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 5/6/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the left living room wall.
- LPA observed in the living room (day care room); children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. There is a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. LPA also observed one high chair, two play yards and a diaper changing table. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition. Poisons are kept in the locked garage, a locked shed that is on the side run of the home and others are kept inside the Rubbermaid storage shed.
