25 | On 6/26/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection were both licensees and eight day care children who were playing in the day care room. Licensees, Joselyn and Yesenia, Yesenia’s husband, and her adult daughter reside in the home. Verified both licensees CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 9/7/24. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 6/12/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 6/12/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the day care room’s left hand side wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed one high chair, and two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensees state they do not have weapons, firearms or ammunition in the home. Poisons are kept locked inside a shed that is located in the backyard.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
