25 | On 11/06/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gloria Reyes conducted a Case Management inspection - Licensee Initiated. LPA was met by Licensee, Stephanie Verdugo who is caring for 3 day-care children.
The purpose of today's inspection is to inspect the backyard that is off-limits to day-care children. LPA inspected the backyard and LPA observed several items to be corrected. They are as follows:
- the large aloe vera plant must be made inaccessible to children
- the rose bushes in the backyard must be made inaccessible to children
- A hole must be filled with dirt that is near a small fruit tree
- All the recycle bags filled will cans must be removed
- There is a wooded fence to separate a portion of the backyard which will be made inaccessible to children. However, this wood fence must be extended to the cement wall as their is a large opening.
- There is a large cemented sink in the patio area that has an opening at the bottom that children have access to. This opening must be made inaccessible.
- There is a large flat screen television on the patio floor that must be removed
Licensee to submit pictures when all work has been completed. Licensee to contact LPA when she is ready. In the meantime, licensee will continue to use the enclosed front yard for outdoor play. Licensee must continue to provide 100% supervision when children are outside.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, no deficiency cited.
An exit interview conducted with Licensee, Stephanie Verdugo and a copy of this report was provided and discussed. A Notice of Site Visit Form (LIC 9213) was posted on parent's board and must remain posted for 30 days. |
