25 | On February 2, 2024,, an unannounced case management inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Paul Garcia. LPA met with licensee, Cristel Zambrano. The purpose for today's inspection was to conduct a post licensing follow-up visit on a initial pre-licensing visit that took place on December 27, 2023.
This single-story home has four (4) bedrooms and two (2) bathrooms and children have access to the play room, napping, hallway restroom and the secured gated back yard play yard. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by use of child locks. Safe toys and cabinets without unsafe items, and a clean and orderly home were observed. There is a fireplace in the home located in the dining room but will not be used during day-care hours.
Children are supervised when outside in the fenced back yard play area. No poisons were observed on the premises. Cleaning compounds, medications and other hazardous items are inaccessible to children. An operable fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide and first aid kit are in place. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises.
This home has a swimming pool that is fenced per regulation. The pool gate is self-latching, self-closing and opens away from the swimming pool. No windows or doors have direct access to the pool area. There is a working telephone and number was verified. Licensee’s CPR and first aid training are current with an expiration date of January 6, 2025. LPA discussed with licensee, fire drills are required to be conducted and documented at least every 6 months. Licensee has provided parents with a copy of the Family Child Care Home Notification of Parent's Rights (LIC 995A). Licensee is aware that any authorized employee of the Department may enter and inspect any place providing personal care and services at any time, with or without advance notice. Background clearances were discussed LPA verified that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children were background cleared.
