25 | On 10/30/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, licensee’s husband, her two minor children and three-day care children who were napping. Licensee, her husband and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Heart Association and expires on 1/27/25. Licensee’s Assistant, Galilea Gomez completed the training through American Heart Association and expires on 8/18/26. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 10/2/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 10/2/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the right wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the left wall of the home’s entry way.
- Firearms are stored in accordance with Title 22 Regulations and ammunition stored separate in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Poisons are stored key locked in the garage.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher located on the kitchen counter. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
