25 | On 9/5/24, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Norma Lomeli and Nohemi Sanchez conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was Spanish-speaking Licensees, Arlene and Juan Lopez and six day care children who were getting ready to nap. Licensees and three minor child reside in the home. Verified Licensee, Arlene Lopez completed CPR and First Aid was completed through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 4/28/26. Licensee, Juan Lopez completed the training through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 4/23/25. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 8/21/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
Fire clearance was received on 8/21/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the left hand side wall.
- LPAs observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPAs also observed two high chairs, a diaper changing table and two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located in the front door entrance of the home.
- Licensees state they do not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher is mounted onto a hallway closet wall. The carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
