25 | On 3/12/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and five day care children who were eating lunch in the day care room. Licensee, her adult daughter and one minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee’s and Licensee’s Assistant, Scarleth Lopez completed CPR and First Aid through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 8/4/2025. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 2/6/2025.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 2/11/2025. Fire alarm is located on the home’s dining room wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys, books and educational posters for the children. LPA also observed diaper changing table, two high chairs, and two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the outside of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition in the home. Poisons are stored under key lock.
- LPA did not observe bodies of water in the home or premises.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher located inside an inaccessible hall way closet. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
